Barlocker Rustling Oaks Ranch (“the ranch”, “we”, “us”) operates https://barlockerranch.com. This page explains what we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We are a small family business — we are not in the business of selling data, and we do not.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you complete the inquiry form we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), the dates you are interested in, your party size, and anything you write in the message box.
- How you found us. Alongside your inquiry we record the advertising or referral source that brought you to the site — campaign tags in the web address, a Google click identifier, the page you landed on, and the site you came from.
- Ordinary web analytics. Google Analytics 4 collects pages viewed, rough location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you moved through the site. Google Ads records whether a visit came from one of our ads and whether it led to an inquiry or a phone-call tap.
We do not take payment on this site and we never ask for card or bank details here.
Why we collect it
- To answer your inquiry and discuss dates, rates and availability with you.
- To send you a confirmation that we received your message.
- To understand which advertising is working, so we do not waste money on advertising that is not reaching the right people.
We do not use your details for marketing emails or newsletters, and we do not add you to any list, unless you ask us to.
Cookies and similar technology
This site sets cookies through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. They let us count visitors, see which pages are used, and tell whether an ad click led to an inquiry. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them, though our measurement will be less accurate. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on, and adjust ad personalisation in your Google account settings.
We keep a short timestamp and a hidden field on the inquiry form purely to detect automated spam. Neither is used to identify you.
Who else sees your information
Your inquiry is delivered to the ranch by email. We use the following service providers, and only for the purposes described above:
- Amazon Web Services — hosts this site and delivers inquiry email (Amazon Simple Email Service), in the United States.
- Google — Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we have not done so in the past twelve months. We will disclose information only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Inquiry emails are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to host you and to keep our own business records — normally no more than twenty-four months from your last contact with us — then deleted. Analytics data is retained on Google’s standard schedule for our property, currently fourteen months.
Your choices
Wherever you live, you can write to us and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

Children
This site is meant for adults booking a stay. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. Families are of course very welcome at the ranch.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and inquiries are transmitted over encrypted connections to our email provider. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care with what you send us.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
